Katt Johnston

Katt holds a master’s degree in clinical social work and brings more than 25 years of experience in the mental health field. She has become a prominent voice in the conversation surrounding family estrangement, bringing both professional experience and a deep commitment to understanding the complex dynamics affecting parents, adult children, and entire family systems. As founder and president of For the Family Foundation, Katt is dedicated to advancing education, research, resources, and meaningful support for families and professionals navigating estrangement.

Jessie Deussing, MA, LCMHC

Jessie Deussing is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in North Carolina and Virginia and an ICEEFT Certified Emotionally Focused Therapist specializing in couples and family therapy. She earned her MA in Counseling from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary and her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from James Madison University. Jessie uses an attachment oriented, Emotionally Focused Therapy approach and has completed extensive EFT training. She is an active member of ICEEFT and the National Board for Certified Counselors.s (NBCC).

Roberta is a licensed clinical social worker and provided therapuetic services in the state of Maryland. She is a certified coach and was coached by Dr. Joshua Coleman. She is also a certified grief educator.

Marci Volkman, LMFT, LPCC

Marci Volkman, LMFT, LPCC is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor specializing in reunification therapy, co-parenting, and family estrangement, including court-involved families. She serves as Secretary of the Ethical Standards for Mental Health Coalition and chairs the Foundation's Training and Education Committee. Marci brings a trauma-informed approach to helping families navigate estrangement with hope and practical tools for reconnection. She sees clients virtually throughout California, with in-person offices in Gold River and Roseville.
